About the Job:
To provide technical leadership and support in the design, adaptation, and rollout of practical, scalable training and capacity-building systems for programme participants, frontline staff, and government partners, ensuring effective delivery and adoption of the Economic Inclusion Programme (EIP).
This is a hands-on role requiring regular field engagement to support training delivery and quality assurance across project counties.
The role will work closely with the Programme Director and implementation teams to ensure that training systems effectively support livelihoods, financial inclusion, and behaviour change outcomes
Responsibilities
Job Description
1. Curriculum Design & Adaptation
§ Develop and adapt practical training modules aligned to EIP components, including, Business and financial literacy, VSLA strengthening, Livelihoods and enterprise development, GESI (Gender, Equity & Social Inclusion), Climate resilience and adaptation
§ Ensure content is context-appropriate, simple, and actionable for ASAL settings
2. Training Delivery Systems
§ Design and strengthen training delivery models, including, Training-of-Trainers (ToT), Mentor and coach systems, Community-based training approaches
§ Develop clear training plans, schedules, and delivery tools
§ Support rollout to ensure consistency and quality across counties
3. Field Implementation Support
§ Work closely with field teams to ensure effective delivery of training activities
§ Provide coaching and technical support to, Trainers, facilitators, Mentors and Field officers
§ Ensure training is practical, participatory, and linked to real livelihood activities
4. Government Systems & Institutionalization
§ Collaborate with government stakeholders at national and county levels
§ Support integration of training approaches into government systems and structures
§ Contribute to development of standardized tools, manuals, and guidelines
5. Training Quality and Learning
§ Establish and oversee training quality standards and monitoring approaches
§ Track effectiveness of training, including participant understanding, application, and behaviour change
§ Use field insights and programme data to continuously refine training delivery
§ Ensure alignment of training with livelihood pathways, market linkages, and programme sequencing
§ Contribute to programme learning, adaptation, and reporting

Requirements
1. Qualifications & Experience
§ Degree in Education, Development Studies, or related field
§ 7–10 years’ experience in:
o Curriculum development
o Capacity building in large-scale programmes
§ Strong experience in:
o Economic inclusion / livelihoods programmes
o Adult learning methodologies
§ Experience working with government systems and multi-partner programmes
2. Core Competencies
§ Strong instructional design and adult learning expertise
§ Ability to translate concepts into simple, field-ready tools
§ Experience designing scalable training systems
§ Strong facilitation and coaching skills
§ Strong stakeholder engagement and coordination
